Kal on Point — The Wise Woman EraKal On Point

I'm not here to tell you how to live your life. I'm here to start better conversations about it.

Kal on Point is where I talk about the things women often start questioning in midlife: who we are, what we want, what we tolerate, what needs to change and what we want the next chapter to look like.

This is about real life, real experience and the things nobody quite prepares us for.

Meet Kal

I am Kal.

I'm a woman in my mid-50s, a businesswoman, entrepreneur, mentor, property developer, finance specialist, media founder, wife, mum and somebody who has had more than a few chapters in life.

I've built businesses, started things from scratch and backed ideas. I've made mistakes, changed direction and had things work brilliantly — and things that absolutely didn't.

And through all of it, I've learned that life rarely follows the neat little plan we thought we were supposed to have.

I don't come to this from the position of having everything figured out. Quite the opposite.

I'm still building, questioning, learning, changing my mind and deciding what I want the next part of my life to look like.

That's really where Kal on Point came from.

Why Kal on Point exists

At some point, many women reach a stage where something changes.

You start looking at your life differently.

Not necessarily because everything is wrong.

Sometimes everything looks perfectly fine from the outside.

But inside, you're asking different questions.

Is this still what I want?

Why am I still putting up with that?

What happened to the things I wanted to do?

Why am I exhausted?

Who am I now that everyone doesn't need me in quite the same way?

What do I want the next 10, 20 or 30 years to look like?

Kal on Point exists to have those conversations.

Not from a textbook.

From real life.

This isn't a 'reinvent yourself in 30 days' brand

I don't believe every woman needs to blow up her life and start again.

Sometimes you just need to stop long enough to work out what's still right for you and what isn't.

Sometimes that means a reset, a different boundary, a new business idea or more attention to your health.

It might be a difficult conversation, more financial control, more fun or less obligation.

Or simply permission to admit that what you wanted ten years ago isn't necessarily what you want now.

There is no single version of what midlife should look like.

The Wise Woman Era

Kal in a quiet portrait for The Wise Woman Era

The Wise Woman Era isn't about suddenly knowing everything.

It's about knowing yourself better.

It's the stage where experience starts changing the way you make decisions.

You recognise patterns faster, become more selective with your time and understand that peace has value.

You realise that being liked by everybody isn't actually the goal. You become more interested in living a life that fits you than performing one that looks right to everybody else.

That is The Wise Woman Era.

And I'm very much in mine.

What I bring to the conversation

I've spent decades around business, property, finance, entrepreneurship, mentoring and building new ventures.

I've also spent decades doing the other job many women do alongside all of that: living.

An elegant table with champagne, a journal and a quiet moment of reflection

Raising a family, managing relationships, dealing with difficult people, taking risks, starting again, changing my mind and trying to balance ambition with an actual life.

So when I talk about business, money, confidence, relationships, boundaries or reinvention, it isn't theory.

There is usually a story behind it.

Sometimes a success.

Sometimes an expensive lesson.

Usually both.

What you'll find here

Kal on Point explores the whole of midlife, not one tiny part of it.

The Wise Woman Era

identity, confidence, perspective and the things we understand differently as we get older.

The Midlife Reset

taking stock of where you are and deciding what you want next.

Business & Money

entrepreneurship, property, finance, ideas, risk and building things later in life.

Health & Wellbeing

learning to understand and look after the body you have now.

Relationships & Boundaries

family, friendships, marriage, expectations and protecting your time.

Real Life, Unfiltered

the funny, ridiculous, frustrating and occasionally absurd reality of being a grown woman.

Think About That

questions and observations that might make you look at something differently.

Some will make you think, some might challenge you, and some will simply make you say: Thank God it's not just me.

What I am not

Portrait representing boundaries as a form of self respect

I'm not interested in pretending I wake up at 5am, meditate for two hours, drink something green and have conquered the world by breakfast.

I don't have a perfect morning routine.

I don't believe every problem can be fixed with positive thinking.

And I definitely don't believe reaching midlife means you have to quietly fade into the background.

And I believe we learn far more when we're willing to admit we don't know everything.

I'm still figuring some of it out too.

One of the things I don't want Kal on Point to become is a place where I stand on one side of the screen pretending I've completed life and I'm now here to give everybody else the answers.

I'm in it too. I'm still working out what I want, still launching ideas, changing things, learning what deserves my energy and questioning things I once took for granted. And perhaps that is the point.

We don't graduate from life.

We keep becoming.

The bigger idea

Midlife isn't the ending. It may actually be the point where you finally have enough experience to build life on your own terms.

We're living longer.

We're working longer.

We're building businesses later.

We're changing careers.

We're changing our minds and taking up space.

The idea that a woman's most interesting years somehow happen before 40 is completely outdated.

I want Kal on Point to be part of changing that conversation.

If you're looking at your own life and thinking, 'There has to be more than this,' you're probably in the right place.

Come for the conversations.

Stay for the humour, the business lessons, the difficult questions, the occasional rant and the things we probably should have been talking about years ago.

Welcome to Kal on Point.

Welcome to The Wise Woman Era.

Let's see what happens next.
